Non-life Insurance comprises of all lines of insurance except Life Insurance. The primary goal of a person or an institution getting insurance coverage is to assure themselves that they will not shoulder the loss alone. They may gamble, take chances that they may be able to steer their property away from a loss and its devastating effect. But putting a minimum amount, and considering that such amount is the only sum they are bound to lose in case a loss actually occurs, is the logic behind getting protection for their property.

The following are included in non-life or general insurance:

  • Fire Insurance
  • Motor Insurance
  • Marine Insurance
  • Engineer’s and Contractor’s Risk Insurance
  • Aviation Insurance
  • Miscellaneous Insurance
